All about luxury vinyl flooring
Sometimes referred to as just LVF, this flooring is a realistic mimic of wood, tile, or stone. It is available in an almost unlimited number of colors, patterns, and designs. Come and see it for yourself; as a luxury vinyl retailer, we'd be happy to show you samples of this terrific product.
At Taylors Flooring we get a lot of praise for our quality products and our installation. We hire only the most experienced and skilled installers. The installation is as important as the product; in fact, some go so far as to say it's more important. You can be assured that we'll measure correctly, use joint expansions, seal, and caulk when necessary, and be sure the seams are lined up correctly. If the subfloor is uneven, we will sand it until it is so you won't have a lopsided surface floor.

Style with LVT and LVP
This floor can be cut into groutable tile-sized pieces called LVT, or luxury vinyl tile. Planks are called LVP or luxury vinyl plank. The planks are most often associated with hardwood because they mimic the wood boards. Images are taken with digital photography, cut into strips, and mounted on boards to resemble hardwood planks. Sometimes people use LVP to mimic stone, because of the larger format which they feel gives a more continuous look.
LVT lets you mix and match tiles to create a unique design. The tiles are groutable and, with such a wide color palette, the grout can become part of the design. Some people feel the extra seams add to the realism.

Other benefits of luxury vinyl include:
- Easy maintenance. All it needs is a regular sweeping and periodic mopping. Use a manufacturer-approved cleaner. Those shine promoting, waxy cleaners can dull the floor and even change its color.
- Floating floor installation. This is the installer’s dream. The pieces click together like a puzzle. It forms a mat which then hovers over the subfloor without staples or adhesives.
- Durability. This is completely waterproof. It’s layered, with a thick top clear melamine sheet that protects the floor from scratches and scuffs. That layer also keeps spills at the top so they wipe off easily.
